At VeronaLabs, we believe in flexibility. This means you can set your own working hours to fit your schedule, as long as they’re noted so teammates know when you’re available.
Where to Set Your Working Hours
Everyone’s working hours should be listed on this Notion page for easy reference.
- You can adjust your working hours as needed, but remember to announce any changes in the #z-team-status Slack channel so everyone stays informed.
Typical Team Hours
Most of the team generally starts between 8-10 AM and wraps up between 4-6 PM.
- If your working hours fall outside these periods, please check with your manager first. Consistent working hours improve team communication, and it’s especially important to align with the team if you’re new to help build connections with your teammates.
Note: Working hours for some roles, such as Support, may differ from this schedule to meet specific needs.
Days Off
- Weekend: Friday and Saturday
- Official Holidays: We only close on the specific holidays listed in ‣.

Why 140 Hours Per Month?
Here’s the breakdown for how we arrived at 140 hours:
- Monthly Structure: We consider each month to have 30 days. With four weeks per month and two weekend days each week, this results in 22 workdays.
- Standard Workday Hours: Normally, we expect 8 hours per workday, adding up to 176 hours (22 days x 8 hours).
- Weekend Adjustment: Thursdays have a half-day of 4 hours (4 weeks x 4 hours = 16 hours), which brings the total to 192 hours.
- Time Off: Each month, you can take 2.5 days off (20 hours) as part of your work-life balance, bringing the work hours down to 172 hours.
To allow flexibility for unlogged hours (thinking time, short breaks, etc.), we reduce the target to 140 hours per month, which accounts for 32 hours dedicated to these additional activities.
Note: This 140-hour target includes any official time off you take, so feel free to use your time for rest as needed.
